Most places?

Without revealing where I live, I'll just say that $200k might get you an okay home in a somewhat shady neighborhood, if you're lucky. If you want nice in a good neighborhood, you're looking at prices starting around $300k.

I concur and I'll state I live in Colorado. If it's a major city in Colorado with 10 miles then 300K+

The reason? All the Californians need to go back.

From Colorado, can verify. I'm an hour south of the springs, and $200k buys a pretty nice house on an acre. The commute is killer though.

Well the only reason the Californian's left is because all the indians, asians, and mexican came in. There are towns that have more Asians immigrants here who buy up all the property and rent it out at double the price. California has the same population of Filipinos as the capital of the Philippines.

Shit, I know about Denver. If you want an actual house in Denver proper and you don't want to live anywhere near the hood, $300k isn't even close to being enough. Tell me I'm wrong.

Fair enough. And I admit, I saw a listing for a place near where I used to live and yes, $200k would get you a really nice home.

So yeah, it's all about location.
