You bring up a good point. I got into a flarglement with a guy last night. Everything that came out of his mouth had to do with faggots or sucking dick. When I pointed out that he may just be projecting. He replied that all the faggots say the same thing. So I was far from the first to draw this conclusion.
In a similar vein I tried to point out that I may hate pop idols, but I don't obsess over them with every waking though.

Well, I don't think you hate pop idols, as hate is an extremely strong word and most people don't understand what hate is. I'm sure disliking something or not favoring it would seem more appropriate.

But you're totally right. I don't hate them. I am however annoyed and frustrated that they become elevated far above those more deserving.
