It was publicly discussed and the reasons for doing so very well elucidated in /v/modsofaskvoat. Complaining about that is like complaining your elected politician did something because you weren't paying attention. @She didn't do a damn thing wrong.

Why wouldn't I complain if my elected politician did something wrong? More than that, when exactly was this person "elected"?

It may be an unpopular opinion here, but I'd much rather take a dictatorial admin who believes in punishing overzealous mods than the overzealous mods thereof.

This is the other discussion that needs to happen, because it's not an unpopular opinion. You're taking the stance that moderators are somehow inherently evil, and that dictatorial administration is less evil. Even though that is literally the reason you all came here from Reddit in the first place. This irony is so thick I'm choking on it.

The moderation of AskVoat isn't even dictatorial. None of you paid attention to the subverse about rules and guidelines, which was publicly available and still is. You're not complaining that an elected official did something wrong, you're complaining that you didn't get to vote on an election you didn't go to.

If you already decided that, why this post? Also, I'm not here to talk about people. I'm talking about askvoat and moderation.

With all the trolling and witch hunting I haven't seen a reasonable opinion put forth. For to even begin being reasonable it must necessarily admit what nobody paid attention to, that the AskVoat guidelines were publicly discussed and still are. If people wanted to change something they should have put their pitch-forks to work on the Modsofaskvoat subverse.

We can't have a reasonable discussion if we don't get reasonable people to discuss things with. As I linked to, and as you can see, everyone defending She has been downvoted, called an alt or shill, and if it was other mods they're called powermods.

v/modsofaskvoat is dead and empty, that sub is just for hiding disagreements with the moderation.
