I just watched this last night and I love it. The Wachowskis dance dangerously close to preaching propaganda with the trans issues. It is always a balancing act to bring that kind of thing up in a show like this. I think they handled that set of issues gracefully. The feminist statements were too heavy handed for me, though ("the dj is good for a girl," "no she's good period," that line made me roll my eyes). I just hope they don't go too far with this and turn the series into Jupiter Rising style fan service for fan girls with bad taste.

Killing everybody in the room at the end of the first episode was an odd choice. I am looking forward to seeing how that turns out. I like a show that isn't afraid to kill people. I love the overall concept, the wachowskis always shoot visually gorgeous films, and the acting is amazing. I'm about to watch episode 2 now.

My first impression: Well, The Matrix has been hacked by chemicals (analog, not digital), and Cloud Atlas shifting in full force. People can jump around wide and deep.

I'm about to watch episode 2, and am excited to find out how our protagonists will learn to control their powers!

Honestly, I was kinda lost for half of episode 1 :(

The show is kind of poetry - or a song the first time. You probably aren't supposed to get it all the first time. You kind of have to just enjoy it then maybe watch it again or read about it / talk about it - to get details if you desire. That's my take.

Finished the second episode. I think I'll have to re-watch the entire season to get each episode. But the second has shed some light on the first. It's late where I am, so tomorrow :)
