Great question. I will start with the fact that I love the taste of coffee. I convince myself that that's why I drink it. But it's not. It's the caffeine. My body has become so used to getting a huge amount every day, that I really can't function until I've had my morning coffee and I hate that. I hate relying on any substance to get through the day.
If I want to workout, I hate doing it caffeinated. My heart races way too fast. It affects my meditation, my sleep, naps (if I ever want them), and my hydration level.
In short, it's just another dopamine addiction that I don't need in my life.
