A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

2a is a hard stopper to a tyrannical government.

Anyone trying to strip this idea in any form, be it concealed carry, style of gun, ammo capacity and so on, are traitors and tyrants.

I'm pro 2nd amendment but I don't for a second think that it would stop the government if it were to go rouge.

That's up the rule of law.

What is the government? Federal? Around 800 in total. What you likely fear is the military slaughtering US citizens. Not saying it's impossible, but to degrees it's likely there would be mutiny depending on the circumstance. In addition, it would make a huge difference if an opposing force had no guns versus guns.

I agree with your sentiment in general, naturally, but there are variables here. It is better to die on your feet standing for what you believe in. Freedom isn't free, it comes at the highest of costs, the cost of blood. From time to time the tree of liberty must be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants alike.

The Brady leadership also encouraged Lonnie and me to sue Lucky Gunner, ... The primary goal of our lawsuit was to make the gun dealer change its business practices—at a minimum, to ask for proof of identity and do a background check.

When the judge dismissed the suit, he said, “It is apparent that this case was filed to pursue the political purposes of the Brady Center. In my opinion, the law that protects the gun dealers also bars people like us from our constitutional right to be heard.

Not sure how she doesn't get how correct the judge was in dismissing the case. She admits that she filed it purely for political reasons then complains that her case was dismissed because it was filed purely for political reasons.
