What, you don't have safety meetings?

It's an IT job, not a factory job. Good idea though, I'll suggest it at the next division meeting.

It's a flee, don't fight building. There are no fire extinguishers in office areas.

There are designated safety representatives. They have nice armbands for when the building is being evacuated during fire drills.

Wait, your IT job doesn't involve safety meetings? That's kinda hard to believe. HR loves preaching safety to feel important, even to people who are sitting for 8 hours a day in a sterile climate controlled environment.

At my last job we had to write a 'measurable safety goal' one year. This might make sense for a factory job but we were all programmers. I wrote that I would endeavor not to fall out my chair by falling asleep. Never heard back but there was a good chance my boss rewrote it. Like he did my performance reviews (you had to write a part of it yourself)
