Tymoro looked down upon Gaea. The Schrkyes still had not picked up his toy, and the threat of the sentinels loomed. Maybe he mused It's time to kill two birds with one stone. He reached down and plucked the Amulet from the Great Roost and held it in the palm of one hand. Clasping the other over it, his eyes snapped open with a burning green spiraling light emanating from them. Infinite penetration. Disaffectation of the cube-square law. Bling. With that, the Amulet of Tymoro was granted those two boons and immediately grew a bumper crop of the bluest diamonds known to the gods encrusting it. Now to find a hero… ah, yes. This shall do.
Mar'dy was going about his merry way when the Amulet of Tymoro popped into existence in front of him and fell into his hands. With it, he could hear voices whispering, usssse itttt. desssstroy the sssentinels. make gaea great agaiiiiin.

I'm going to be naying this. For those reading, here's what Arotaes is trying to do (I know from IRC, I told him to include implications if he posted but it seems he hasn't).
The amulet's beam randomly restructures anything in its path. He's interpreted it, and I agree to an extent, as turning everything it touches into random unbound subatomic particles, making it an extremely powerful laser.
Here he's trying to make the beam pass through everything without being consumed, so its just "everything in the direction this is pointed dies" instead of being based on a light beam.
He's also making it unaffected by diffraction (this is what he means by square-cube, he's using the term incorrectly but that's another story). So the beam will spread out but have the same effect as if it was highly concentrated. So you get a cone of death without any limits on range or weakening of the effect with distance. Combined with the infinite penetration from earlier that creates a planet-killer.
He's trying to turn an already powerful artifact into something that would just destroy everything and force a soft reset of the game, which is his end goal. This is the most appropriate point to just nay him.

I too nay this simply because I'd rather not have people dog-piling Phyra again. Give them some time to respond and act before we break out the planet buster
[–] Oveass 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
Nah, that's fine, I totally expect it this time around xD I just put in a comment to restrict Tymoro's boons, It's not a planetbreaking thing anymore

There needs to be some limitations or else Mar'dy could accidentaly blast a hole through the planet or destroy the sun. The laser must lose power somewhere, it can't just go on forever
[–] Dumb_Comment_Bot 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
oh. That's what it does.

Mar'dy had just come out of the gateway leading the flora into the city of Sentenza. He had been lead by Vakni, the the crossroads were dangerous and mystical he certainly did not plan to go through them again. The City of Sentenza was however, beautiful. A massive blue tower pierced the sky in the harbour city. The buildings were different shades of blue stone with tall pillars and decorations: https://sli.mg/KfNBqJ
Before he could settle in anobject appeared before him. Out of instinct he grabbed it before it hit the ground.
https://sli.mg/pfvn8t A voice resounded to him in his mind. Sentinels? He wasn't sure what that meant. But it looked really cool and he wanted to use it.

HAhaahhahahaa that amulet drawing was just perfect!
[–] 4162999? ago
Wait, were already at Sentenza? Has the group traveled for months or did we take the Primrose path?
[–] Dumb_Comment_Bot ago
Vakni is already involved in another story arc so I assumed we were finished going through the crossroads.

If the alterations are nayed and the precedent for Phyra's alterations are nulled, does that knock out Phyra's alts?
@Oveass

Tymoro at the great roost? Phyra would have to get him out of their quick! As Tymoro is attempting to powerup his Amulet Phyra intervenes.
"The power of this amulet shall be straight and true and halt after 1000km, it only fires when the beam is at a perfect tangent to the sphere that is Gaea."
An annoyed Tymoro quickly leaves to gift this superweaapon to Mar'dy Kist. Perhaps Phyra should start to pay more attention to that Lot'dy after all.
I'm gonna Aye you giving it to Mar'dy directly. You can even slightly power up the weapon and make it simple for a mortal to fire.
I will even aye "Infinite Penetration" with the limit that the beam always needs to be fired at a tangent to the surface of Gaea (Ergo: No shooting of randomness beams into the crust or into the skies)
I will Nay whatever it is you mean with "Disaffectation of the cube-square law" The Beam will lose energy, Phyra curses the amulet to have a range limited to 1000Km and be a straight beam instead of a cone.
Amulet is now something like this FAST FORWARD TO 2min 30sec
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJic-CUoRRE&t=2m30s And always exits the planet tangentially.

Every direction is a tangent of a sphere's surface.

Every direction in this plane is what I mean yes.
The beam can't be shot upwards or downwards.
From the point of view of Mar'dy he will alway fire the beam horizontally to the ground.

Oh Phyra. You have no idea what I have in store.

Also have to nae the super-duper-doom-lazor-justice-cannon-of-diamonds. Sorry, mate. XD

Mar'dy now has the vial of Keema poison and, if this post goes through, he'll have the other most powerful weapon on all of Gaea! Poor guy, people are going to be trying to kill us forever.
Also, we should think of what's next for Mar'dy and the Säen since they left the Tree of Life and saved the Flora (temporarily).
[–] Oveass 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago (edited ago)
T-T Tymoprovements
So what the fuck did you "Boon" it with? @arotaes_forgehammer
You give it 2 incredibly open to interpretation terms and don't explain
Infinite penetration? Amulet is now capable of hardcore sex?
Disaffectation of the cube-square law.? Is Disaffectation even a word? Why cube-square, what does any of that have to do with sentinels?
