Hi there! I'm looking to create a race that is new to the world and unsure about it- like me. Hopefully a God capable of handling ice can talk to them, as they are on island 8, A23. Without further ado,
The Goruk
Society: Class-based, but not caste. Moderate social mobility. Currently three 'tribes' that are more like classes. The Seed Tribe, the farmers and lower class. The Blood Tribe, the hunters and middle class. The Tribe of Eyes, the leadership tribe and upper class. (Note One)
Magic Level: Low (Ritual Convening only, nonmagical species).
Tech Level: New Agrarian Society (Stone Tools/Weapons, no Armor).
Special Traits: Unusually cunning and quick. Excellent vision, smell, and hearing. Deft.
Flaws: Loud footsteps on hard surfaces if barefoot. Often cowardly. Somewhat weak.
Physical Appearance: Short, thin-limbed people, the Goruk are reminiscent of prarie dogs. They bear no fur of their own, but members of the Blood Tribe wear a long fur headdress to indicate status. Their faces are long and almost human, with a distinct nose, mouth, and set of eyes. The eyes, however, are large, and the mouth has an extra set of canine teeth. Goruk skin is leathery and tough, often a dark gray. (Note Two)
Notes:
-
Leadership falls to the Tribe of Eyes as a community, holding votes. Total of nine members.
-
Goruk clothing is largely just fur. Only members of the Tribe of Eyes wear anything else; each has a carved stone crown, passed down from generation to generation.
Location: A23, Item 8, the Isle of Tribulations.

Not in the Garden directly, but I could grow a forest of the primrose trees on that island. Other forests of primrose exist on Gaea, as well, the first trees merely came from the Primrose Path to Gaea. They could also build out of the snow, like many arctic animals, or animals like the arctic ground squirrel have learned to find areas between the permafrost to dig down beneath it (dig smart; not hard), thus protecting and insulating, so they could build shelter in either of those ways, or any other way you see fit. If they have a forest of primrose, they will have one of the greatest defenses on Gaea, as only a few of the most powerful creatures on the planet are immune to the poison, and they can use the vines, flowers, and trees to build/reinforce shelters, defenses, and weapons.
Totally up to you. If another god seems more aligned with your intentions for the Goruk, feel free to PM them and ask for assistance. Some gods have gone inactive for the time, but here is a list of the gods since the beginning of the story. http://savage-gods.wikia.com/wiki/Savage_Gods_Wikia And, of course, if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
