Is there a way to use vector graphics for this? To prevent loss if we zoom in. Especially if we have a LOT of locations.

I made the map with a mask in photoshop. I didn't use vectors. So we don't have vector graphics available.

I just used Maptiler because it is convenient. If you want to be able to zoom with a better resolution and no watermarks you will have to buy the pro version ($150 or something) which I'm not gonna pay.

If you have a better way of creating a browsable 3D sphere, let me know and I'll forward you my Photoshop Project files.

I don't have a better way of making a sphere, you really did a good job with both that and the map.

I could potentially make a "political" map in inkscape (where lines and basic colours are important and textures aren't). I could trace the continents by hand or if you have the continent outline layer I'd be able to trace bitmap.
