I've been thinking about the game and when Home gave up his Godhood for the Med'Ja, and wondered, what happened to Home? Can another player now claim the God of Agriculture, Plants and Beasts? Would it not be better if Home remained Home, played by Cutsprocket, but maybe in the form of a Hero Mortal/DemiGod? Since we've been considering allowing Gods to play the races, with 1 post per 2 days, it seems a little unfair to the Gods who totally renounced Godhood to play their races lost all Godlike perks.
I've mentioned in a few of the Sticky-Posts that new players who claim a preexisting race should be able to create a custom Hero for that race, with maybe DemiGod status (Or some other special blessing from the Gods, as suggested by Oveass). So, why not also allow Lessor Gods to denounce Godhood, become Demigods, and Champion their own races? (With some grand story associated with the transition)
A few other questions: Can Pome create his own metallic weaponry, or are all metallurgic advancements put on hold until Roxxarum returns from the Void? Do fruits not naturally ferment without the approval of Zille? If Oveass leaves the game, does the universe fall into chaos? Can individuals of a particular race swim in the Ocean if they want to, or would Tempest find this insulting and immediately drown them? When the game gets to heros v heros and armies v armies (if it comes to that), how will the outcome of battles be determined?
Things are heating up, moves are being made, if players don't start claiming races before the Age of Civilization, or during the Clash of the Gods, actions could get drastic.
Before I start writing, I'm looking for some kind of consensus on gameplay or at least ideas.
And for the love of Yuna, let's get SavageGods on v/all or v/whatever for exposure to attract some players.

I have to say that I agree with all the sentiments in this thread. I do think we need more players and more people writing. I would like to add that this week alone we have had a number of new races/players join. The question is, do we allow this sub to grow organically, with one or two new players a week, or do we force it. The new players that have joined recently have all seemed to contribute. They seem like they will stick around, unlike many of the one post gods.
For me, that's the problem with pushing the sub, you might not get people who want to tell a story and stick around. I like the suggestion in looking for new players in similar subs, it might at the very least provide less trolling.
To be honest I'm quite happy to trust the judgement of most people within this sub, for now I would suggest to give it another week, and maybe review it again at the next sabbath.
If people feel more strongly one way or the other, then I'm happy to support whatever action is decided.
