@grandprismatic

A little background on the Merth. Nobody really likes them, but warlords will hire them.

Resolution
Race Merth
Savagry 20 sv
Special Rules Greedy and Smart: The Merth will always find more loot, or take a bigger bounty. Their lust for gold cannot be satisfied.
Death Cultist Bonus: If they are death cultists, they are especially blessed by Desporus, growing stronger and more resilient.
Short Lives: The Merth are blessed with a short and violent life, but a great fertility.
Apathy: No Merth really cares if they die.
Mortifi Riders: As any sentient creature of Desporus, Merth are capable of taming the great Mortifi as steeds
Milky eyes: The eyes of a Merth become more white with age, eventually leading to a blindness. This blindness however has a bonus. Milky eyed Merth are able to see through mists and clouds, and are able to see terrain not touched by sunlight as if they were never blind. This gives them perfect vision in darkness.
Ritualistic Ingredients: The innards of a Merth is a perfect ingredient for healing type of rituals and medications. Consuming the heart of a dead Merth restores 1 sv to the consumer. When too many hearts are consumed in a short amount of time the one who ate all the hearts will turn into a Merth. If the person eating the heart already is a Merth, a mystical lighting strike will kill them immediately.
Darkness Broods: Sunlight will always try and avoid hitting the body of a Merth. Clouds will swirl and create intricate patterns so that the 'important' or 'hero' Merth always appear to have a 'Chiaroscuro' eyelight, and large groups such as towns and even cities of the Merth, shall evoke a film noir feeling.
Licking Grey Mist: 'important' or 'hero' Merth will have a black or grey mist following them. Dependant on the climate they are currently in, this either completely clouds them, or clings to the ground like an evil omen. These tendrils of mist have no additional effect other than increasing the 'cool' factor of Merth characters that are considered important to Ebos and it's narrative.

How do we get the bot that handles statistics and Savagery? @Oveass @Kith ?

Depends on if failure still has it running or not.

!sv 1 0 17

But in general i think trying to quantify this visibly was a mistake. It turned the game from stories to numbersgame. I'd prefer just having stories again without the heavy rules around it.

Or at least: the players shouldnt have to know/worry about the rules. Only the mods.

I'd like a savagery system to solve conflict. As long as the system is behind the scenes, invisible from the players.

Fair enough, but as we travel there will be conflict, so we'll need the numbers to sort it out. I think a combo of the two is key.

Aye Pomme smiled and turned a blind eye. The creation of these Merth, an afterthought of an afterthought, seemed fitting. Creatures such as these, just like the Mortifi and other predators had their place in nature, had their place in the social hierarchy of sentient beings. They would inadvertently teach much to the Dendra, and would hopefully learn much from them as well. She would bless these Mirth with their rightful place in the ecosystems of Ebos.

Blessing

Bless: Merth Children of Ebos
Savagery +1 Blessing, +1 Domain (Ecology)
Special Rules Children of Ebos: Although they may worship Desporus (as loyally as is possible), they still feel undeniably linked to Ebos and its systems. While they may be apathetic about their own existence and lives, they feel strongly for the longevity and health of Ebos as a whole, and will always fight to defend it from destruction.

"Pomme pomme, always meddling with my little creations... What good are death cultists that do not seek to kill? Killing is good for life after all. Things must die, they just accelerate the process." Desporus said with a smirk.

"And Ebos as a whole? Well. That too must die. And that too can be accelerated, if need be." Desporus spun his lantern. "Simply put, pomme, I'll let you get away with it this time. These creatures are evil but somewhat corrupted. Not a true evil, in fact kind of pathetic. But! But but but! I am working on a new species. A REAL catalyst of death! They will live BY dying! And they will breed by killing. Incorruptible! I will make their minds hardened. A strict hierarchy of structure! Order not chaos and a beautiful thirsty to make Ebos barren!..." Desporus rambled to himself as he walked away.
