When you say female brain, you are making a mistake. A brain inside of a male body is a male brain. Even if it doesn't conform to some predetermined type.

So what he's getting at is a brain thats "structured like a female brain." While I don't completely agree with it it's a decent enough point. I would argue that they simply need treatment to have the correct formation of their brain, but hey, what do I know- that's literally how we treat disorders in literally all other cases.

You could probably prevent it if you caught it early enough, but it would be pretty hard to change after birth and probably even harder after puberty.
If you can accurately identify the condition, its probably a lot easier and safer to change the body as opposed to the brain.
Of course that runs the risk of fucking someone up who didn't actually have a mismatched brain.
A bunch of overzealous doctors in the 1900's made this mistake kind of in reverse, see David Reimer.
Changing the parts of the brain responsible for gender identity, brain gender, etc obviously runs little risk outside of making someone more/less of what they already were. If we could do it safely to begin with.
Its not something I really have an opinion on one way or the other, but some people have even proposed that homosexuals and perhaps transgender people are evolutionarily advantageous in certain situations.
So, there could be a chance its something we don't want to "cure."

Except homosexuality.

Not really, it can in some cases be an entirely feminine brain.
I suppose you can call that whatever you want, but "female" is not an inaccurate descriptor.
You also have to define precisely what a male body is.
Many conditions result in an ambiguous phenotypic gender.

There are some rare times when boy and girl is hard to define but it is incredibly rare.
I am saying we have to expand our definition of male/female acceptable brain types. Its ok to have a n effeminate man. That doesn't magically make him a her.
