You want to march for scientists under a gag order, or NASA funding, or climate data, sure, I can support this to a certain extent. EDIT: words got mixed up.
But the only one of those "isms" that even comes close to applying to scientific development is "colonization". You know, the type of cultural advancement, enrichment, and competition that allowed things like The President, Council and Fellows of the Royal Society of London for Improving Natural Knowledge, or The Royal Society for short. Darwin's most famous work, yeah, accomplished because of the Royal Navy. Look at Boston Dynamics, look at the entire DARPA system. Even TOR was a Navy project. Our internet? What do you think type of installations wanted a hardwire communications system between machines?
I am tired of the respect that 18th, and 19th century institutions do not get in the past couple years by the left for their contribution to society as a whole. It's equivalent to ignoring Locke, Descartes, Milton, Voltaire, Mills, Rousseau, because they happen to have made their contributions under the same type of security.
