thantik is just the kind of user who sets an impossibly high bar for everyone else while contributing nothing of his own. I've greatly increased my list of sources, the subs I post in, and have taken to archiving everything I post as a courtesy to others, but it's not enough for people like him. I'm glad there are positive voaters like you who choose to regularly encourage others instead of tearing people down.
Thanks, InnocentBystander. I'm just someone who occasionally has way too much time on his hands and likes to spend it with you guys. I'm always happy to see your name on Voat.
I don't receive a dime for posting, thantik. You're just banking on the fact that it's difficult to prove otherwise. I contribute more of my time (comment and posts, moderating, promoting subverses other than my own) and money (donations whenever I can spare the money - check my profile if you're skeptical) than you have, and I spend my time constructively rather than complaining and trying to tear other users down.
Now go look at ChillyHellion's submissions. It's a total of...5 sites...maybe. Most of them are cnet/engadget.
It's a bit more than five:
Alaska Dispatch News
The Bristol Bay Times
Android Police
CyanogenMod.com
xda-developers
GameSpot
Siliconera
TechRaptor
Game Informer
Pocket Gamer
MP1st
GamesNosh
Eurogamer
Gematsu
IndieGames.com
DualShockers
Niche Gamer
Nintendojo
PC Gamer
PCGamesN
Co-Optimus.com
Game Revolution
GamesIndustry.biz
The Escapist
VG 24/7
NPR
CNET News
Engadget
Yu-Gi-Oh (Konami Blog)
These are just my usual RSS feed sources. I have Google alerts set up for co-op gaming related content and post that when I find something I missed.
If you think most of my posts are from CNET or Engadget, you need to get out of /v/Technology and actually look at my submission history. These are some of the subs I regularly contribute to:
many of these subs are small, and wouldn't have regular content if it weren't for the things I post. Additionally, I take great pains to maintain a variety of gaming sources despite the amount of duplicate content I have to wade through to do so. The reason you see CNET and Engadget post in /v/Technology is because those sources are in my feed that have to do with technology. Most of my posts are gaming related.

Fuck off.
Chilly adds more value to Voat than you have. Or most others.
He's an MVP, you're expendable.
