All women and young girls should read this article as the media has played havoc on the imaginations of women everywhere.

She admits:

It’s like candy: in the moment it feels good to eat it but, afterward, you feel sick. Who you’re dating, what you’re wearing, or how good you look at that premiere — none of that s - - t matters unless you genuinely love yourself. Solid relationships are what really matter.

It’s sad she took a television program to help shape her life expectations :(

Two months ago, I started seeing someone I never would have dated 10 years earlier. ... This man is a very reasonable choice, and I’m at a place in my life where reasonable is very sexy.

Poor guy. Well, maybe. Could just be a little beta fucktard.

Finally, after nearly 2 decades of slutting it up, she “is celibite” for 8 months.

This doesn't work well as a morality tale. She still managed to find a desperate beta male willing to risk her STDs and dried up eggs just to fulfill his high school fantasy of dating a cheerleader.

Julia Allison: 'Sex and the City' ruined my life

'I do wonder what my life would have looked like if “Sex and the City” had never come across my consciousness. '

'Since moving to New York City four years earlier, I’d established myself with my own dating column and graced the cover of Wired magazine. '

'I’m finally living a life of integrity, and I’m attuned to my values. '

'Among them was Julia Allison, who moved to New York in the early 2000s to live the Carrie Bradshaw lifestyle. '

'When the last episode of “Sex and the City” aired in February 2004, I hosted a viewing party for 200 guests. '

TLDR;

I copied Sex and the Ciy’s Carrie’s life as much as possible and became a real life version of her. I didn’t make much money until later in life and got pissed when a rich dude didn’t like that I didn’t put out for sent me back home via economy.

Today, I lead a life based on values that Sex and the City didn’t bother covering. After realizing my looks are no longer peachy and perky, I found a dude who wanted a trophy wife.

I am disappointed that Sex and the City wasn’t as real as I thought it was but I would still live it all over again because men paid for my food, shoes and bags!

When you compromise your core identity for a borrowed, fanciful notion someone else creates, you have sold yourself and become a whore.
