If we are going to have a national education standard, wouldn't it make more sense to base it off of the states with the best education ratings? But then again if we went with what makes sense, we wouldn't have common core...

Can't wait for school vouchers, let the market do its thing and find the best systems to bring in the most students. No more having the option of shit or homeschool.

All of those options are better than common core! Charter schools are a good idea too, because they have to stay at a high level of achievement in order to renew the charter. School vouchers would allow us to send our kids to the private schools that are academically excellent but expensive for a growing family to financially support. Free market principles applied here would benefit the kids education, parents' wallets, and society as a whole: true education reform.
