Mr. Rogers was a very wise man and I was incredibly saddened when I learned of his death. I suppose it is cliche to say we lost a great human being, but we really did.

He seemed to have a great understanding of emotions and of people and set out to help children ( And even adults) learn to understand their emotions and the emotions of others.

I always admired how he could talk to a camera and make it feel as though he is talking directly to you. And he would say things such as " You make each day a special day. You know how, by just your being you. There's only one person in this whole world like you. And people can like you exactly as you are."

And it didn't sound cheesy when he said it. He truly meant it. And when he said things like that. And when he said things like that, it honestly did make me feel good about myself and who I am.

To put it simply. That was a truly great man.
