I think the JFK killing and 9/11 are the only things I will truly remember, what I was doing at the time.

Well there are minor things. I woke up one morning years ago to hear the opening guitar riffs to Rocky Mountain High and then "The singer is dead." Won't lie, I got choked up.

9/11 I was at home when my kid radioed from our local JnBox that a plane had struck one of the towers. He was freaking out.

I remember walking in the house and turning on the TV as I watched the Koresh place burn to the ground. I was looking for children to run out.

Sandy Hook I was at home and watching Diane Sawyer (I actually believed her and others, for many years, no more).

And that first space shuttle, was outside helping on a remodel.

JFK, all I remember was a female school teacher grabbing another female teacher while she held a transistor radio, they were both very emotional. That was third grade in Vegas, my dad was a blackjack dealer back then.

I remember watching the JFK stuff, and funeral, for days, that was only thing on at the time. Saw Ruby shoot Oswald though it may have been on a delay.

I was borrowing somebody's phone when news of my little brother being killed in a drunken car wreck came, I felt the blood leave my face (same thing happened when my wife confessed an old affair).

Add to that: the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Los Angles riots, Regan being shot, the Boston bombers, Timothy McVeigh, and what's going on today, it sure hasn't been dull.
