LOL. You're arguing with a straw man and you've clearly never lived in rural America (except maybe in a trailer park or something) and probably hate the middle class, in my experience urban liberals want two classes: the elite they aspire to and the permanent underclass that exists to serve them. Nothing in between. This is why war was waged on rural America.
What we need to do is transform agriculture and bring our farms back, really set them up to be truly productive and sustaining rather than toxic wastelands poisoning us all.
This is where you lost credibility. No western nation is doing better, esp. with the immigration crisis affecting them all. Green energy is a joke, its focus is on limited access to energy for all but the elite not to mention that the rare earth minerals necessary to build the infrastructure for the new electrified world pollute far more than fossil fuels and everyone will be under surveillance 24/7.
This covid stuff is a cover for rolling a lot of it out - symptoms mimic EMF poisoning. If you think this is the future, think again man. That's NOT humanity's future no matter how much you worship your own intellect nor how much predictive programming you've been exposed to.

I mean can we at least agree that liberals and conservatives both want what they think is best for the country? Assuming the other side is acting in bad faith will only lead to further division

You're kidding right?
I can agree that conservatives and classical liberals (who are now considered far right, lol) want what's best for our nation, but those behind this ongoing failed coup who are trying to force climate fraud tyranny on us? FUCKING NO WAY. CIVIL WAR before peace with those trying to install communism and the far greater polluting new "electrified" infrastructure.
