I have thinkpad x1 extreme. I know lenovo is owned by the chinese government. I also own a huawei gt watch 2. Huawei is another chinese state owned company.
I just turned my laptop on, i leave it unplugged at night because if it is plugged in then it lets out a light that is too bright to sleep with. Oddly enough my entire computer battery was drained while my laptop was "off" last night. I almost never run my laptop on battery, and it was fully charged when i unplugged it last night, so why did it turn on without my consent? and what did it do? I don't know.
Also my huawei watch used to only connect to my phone if I asked it to. But since the mandatory update last week, the huawei health app turns on my bluetooth whenever it wants without my consent and connects to my watch without my consent too. If that wasn't bad enough, i tried connecting my phone to my car with android auto and it refused to connect. Only after i turned my watch off would it connect properly because my bluetooth automatically connected to my watch AND was preventing my phone from connecting to my car.
At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the millions of huawei watches have little bombs in them that blow our hands off at command from China.
We are at war with China, so DON'T trust chinese electronics, especially ones that have access to bluetooth or wifi.
Just a friendly heads up!
