86 is a kitchen slang, uncertain origins, but as a chef who has been in kitchens since 14yo that is where’s I learned the term, and it is in reference to removing a dish/item from the menu .

as per all the other one dimensional thinking replies. Yes we all know its a restaurant term but its also used as in 'to kill'
