Enforce the first amendment and designate big tech as utilities.
As publishers, Big Tech can argue it owns the content and can edit or censor freely when in reality it should be paying fees to authors. Even a publisher does some actual work: editing, production, marketing, while BT does not. Big Tech is essentially a keyboard and screen. It would argue that a keyboard should own the copyright to a published work because it facilitated the production and not the actual author.
Nonsense. We have the right to assemble, to speak. Enforce the first amendment in the digital space.
