Please share the following widely. It might make the sheeples think. (Yes, I know there's no such thing as an "approved" mask. That's the whole point! But don't admit that. Make them think.)
Masks should not be worn for more than 30 minutes. They become moist and actually breed the microbes that you breathe out, plus any that are in the air and get sucked in. So you breathe out one, insignificant microbe and half an hour later you could be breathing in a million. Also, anyone continually touching the mask will add millions of microbes to the material from their hands so they'll be breathing in TRILLIONS.
In addition, there's a potential long-term problem: Certain fabrics shed fibres and particles which, if breathed into the lungs, could cause an Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). ILDs are usually irreversible and can be life-threatening.
So, you should wear only COVID-approved masks (not home-made) and replace the mask every 30 minutes, maximum. Wash your hands frequently and DO NOT touch the mask itself - only the elastic.

While we’re on the subject—
All of the micro fibers breathed in are forced deep into the lungs. Another thing to think about is how many people prewash the reusable masks? My guess is not too many. Most fabrics have all kinds of chemicals in them and need to be prewashed. Then you have to consider how you are going to wash them without getting even more chemical contaminants added to the fabric.
I saw a label on disposable masks once warning to not use them if you are allergic to whatever it was they were made out of. That is because absolutely every material used in a mask is going to shed particles.
Another thought is that masks from China could be loaded with nano particles.
