Back during the Vietnam War the only national news on television on weekdays was from 6:30 to 7 PM on 3 networks lead by old time newsmen who could be trusted. Walter Cronkite was the newsreader for CBS and was sold to us as “the most trusted man in America.”
During the Tet Offensive, our guys kicked ass pushed the NVA & the VC back where they came from and Charlie expended a lot of resources in defeat. They were at the brink of calling it quits.
Cronkite goes on the air and describes Tet as a disaster for American forces. This started the shift of anti-Vietnam sentiment from the extreme left to the mainstream. LBJ is even quoted as saying, “if I lost Cronkite, I lost middle America and I lost the war.” Not long after he publicly told voters he would not run for another term. The rest of the MSM jumped on board. John Kerry committed treason with his Senate testimony which led to his television appearances before his entry into politics.
Seeing what was going on in American media, North Vietnam becomes emboldened. Kissinger sells us out in the worst act of treason committed by a Secretary of State until the BHO years.
Lost to history, Nixon was trying to win in Vietnam which was the real reason for his impeachment inquiry rather than Watergate. DS RINOs convince Nixon to resign and the Dems sweep both houses of Congress on the MSMs reporting on Nixon. Once they controlled the purse, they defund Vietnam and the South falls weeks later
None of this would have occurred had not Cronkite got the ball rolling and the rest of the MSM ran with it.
After he retired from CBS, Cronkite openly advocated for global government.

Isn’t Cronkite the owl voice at Bohemian Grove?
