Misleading title. They know Assange got no help from Russia. It was a leak from the DNC and that is that. Now they try to say he will "cover up" Russia leaks. FAKE NEWS, typical of thedailybeast crap site.

This article is awfully misleading. I don’t know if President Trump even knew about this incident. I do know that when Dana R. returned to the states, he tried to speak to President Trump about his visit with Assange. However, John Kelly wouldn’t allow it! Kelly wouldn’t even give President Trump a message from Dana.

'They did dispute, however, that President Donald Trump gave his blessing for the pardon offer. '
'Assange has argued that he should not be extradited to the U.S. because the American case against him is politically motivated. '
'The WikiLeaks lawyer said Rohrabacher offered Assange the deal a year after emails that damaged Hillary Clinton in the presidential race had been published, when the Russia investigation was gathering pace. '
'Assange to discuss a proposal—and that they would have an audience with the president to discuss the matter on their return to Washington, D.C.,” Robinson said. ', "James Lewis, who was representing the U.S. government, said, “The position of the government is we don't contest these things were said."

The Daily Beast mis-spelled ". . . if he exposed fake Russia links."
