Desalination at scale and speed is the tricky part... But even that isn't so bad.

Agree on the overpopulating part too, but improvements are needed to the current building model and mentality, we can do much better regarding housing and infrastructure, with innovation. Build more horizontal farming facilities, or on mountain slopes and extend those deeper into the ground, since maybe it is essential for crop to be connected to earth's pulse (Schuman resonance).

Cities can also be built with more horizantal building and with integrating nature into them, so that we leave more space to nature and animals than we do now.
