By your definition, Nazism is just moderate Communism. They're still the same basic thing.

They are indeed the same basic thing, and the principles of them are drawn from “Capital” by Karl Marx, a German Jew writing in English in London during the same time period as Benjamin Disraeli & Queen Victoria (both Juden) were expanding the British Empire, and establishing a series of parliamentarian monarchies that could readily be converted to communist dictatorships. The Jews foresaw Communism, but not Fascism, and most assuredly not Nazism.
But, no, though generally dictatorial, they are not the same.
Socialism (as found in any type of Communism) has the government own all resources, control all labor, then control the economic distribution of the products of that labor to the people.
Syndicalism allows for workers unions to control the resources related to their economic purpose, then have relative ownership over their corporate means of production, thus controlling the production of whatever their economic product is to be; then distribute this product according to the interest of the central government, utilizing a corporate hierarchy wherein (ideally) no person, union or corporation has a vested interest in screwing anybody over.
These two examples relate to Socialism (Communism) and Fascism, generally.
Nazism is similar to the second example, but adds racial elements to the formation of syndicalist union and to the national propaganda, to insure unity of the people, as well as religious elements to insure a sense of purpose and destiny. // Where the Nazis of the Third Reich went wrong (and exposed themselves as having been infiltrated by Jews) was when they added racial and religious hatred to the mix, tainting the entire system; and (strategically) causing the various mulatto, muddied and black people of the British Empire (a Jewish corporation complex) to revile the Third Reich rather than admire it (as they had done before).
So, no, they are not the same. Neither are the current Democrats actually Nazis: They merely utilize a complicated system of Victimhood Identarian racist, sexist, classist, etceteraist politics, to cause their members to feel oppressed by an imaginary enemy while hating themselves and feeling shame for whatever Victimhood group they are a member of; which groups are defined and oppressed by Democrats, thus strengthening the Mass Stockholm Syndrome that keeps them loyal to their Democrat oppressors and hateful toward and fearful of their imaginary enemy.
It is sloppy on anybody’s part to liken the unthinking anarchists & nihilists & (most importantly) opportunists of our current political clusterfuck. (Jeanette: “But the founders of the current political clusterfuck derive their philosophy and symbolism from those earlier groups; so likening them polemically, if not rhetorically, is a useful approach.”) So, that is that.
Would get into what is needed for the next phase, but now is not the right time. (Therese: “We’ve come down with a case of the splits, is what they’re trying to say.”) Thank you for clearing that up. (Jeanette: “That was funny Therese!”)
Gotta Go.
