What's the plan for the switch?

I'm hoping blockchain voting which is damn near impenetrable...

Blockchain is just an underlying mechanism. How do you put your vote on there? It will have to be mediated by a voting machine (hackable, have been shown in the past to have all kind of vulnerabilities), an app (fraught with identification problems), or still by mail etc (not much advantage over the current system).

Many countries still use paper ballots marked with markers, did you know? If you Americans could count at a reasonable speed, like the rest of the world, you wouldn’t need to worry about how this whole thing is run. Most anglosphere countries also manage to have successful mail in ballots for special elections, absentee voting, etc without cases of fraud beyond isolated individual incidents.

Stop trying to use technology to solve every People Problem.

Third world countries still vote with an inked index finger (Fingerprint captured on the ballot). Old school but works.

Blockchain will simply put the votes on a public ledger which private voters can validate their vote was accurately counted using their private voting key.

CORRECT! Paper ballots & voter ID are the cure...

I'm ready to put my fingerprint on the ballot also.

300 million people voting vs 1 million people voting is the difference. I agree we should be putting out thumb print on every vote we cast. Then slip it in to the machine and its counted. Its not hard.
