Gov. Kate Brown said Friday she is confident that Oregon and other progressive states can still meet the Paris climate goals for the U.S. — despite President Donald Trump’s decision to pull the country out of the international accord. (...) California, New York and Washington will chair the U.S. Climate Alliance, which Brown said has been in the works for several months. The group is an outgrowth of several other initiatives at the state and local level to pursue clean energy policies. The alliance plans to seek official status with the countries that have signed on to the Paris agreement.
These states are making their own agreements to follow new laws established by the foreign powers at the UN.
“This executive order is extensive and thorough, taking the boldest actions available to lower greenhouse gas emissions under current state laws,” Brown said, adding that she made the decision to help set “Oregon on a path we can be proud to leave behind for our children.”
The Democrat’s maneuver also requires 20% of her state’s transportation fuels to come from electricity, natural gas, and propane within a decade, and 25% by 2035.
The governors of these states are imposing new laws by executive order as if they were kings.

Oregon governor sends police to find missing Republicans, bring them to Capitol
When Oregon's Republicans boycotted the legislature to prevent the bill from being voted on, as Texan Democrats had in 2003, Oregon's governor sent the police after them.
The Paris Agreement is an international treaty that the United States has announced its intent to withdraw from.
There is more going on than the Paris Agreement.
The UN and Rightscon
The UN uses Rightscon as its enforcers for a "counter-terrorism" project founded by Saudi Arabia. Rightscon has assets inside every large Silicon Valley company. The UN in this case is a front for the Saudi government.
Those acting on behalf of the UN and its members may be agents of a foreign principal who are required to register with the Attorney General by the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
