Well done anon. Most insightful comment I have seen on VOAT in a long while. Put another way: Every body, every where, at every moment is doing the best they can in that moment, the best that their nature and conditioning will allow.

High IQ people have good pattern recognition capabilities. Thought patterns are patterns. That's why high IQ people recognize the thought patterns of low IQ people. Low IQ thought patterns do not involve questioning authority or consensus.

So, when you see a "smart" person who does not question consensus or authority it's typically one of the following possibilities. #1 It ain't a smart person. #2 They are smart but there's a hidden agenda at play. #3 They are really smart and know keeping their mouth shut is usually best.

Milgram's experiment is probably the best example of conditioning action.

Bread and Circuses is still true today as it was in the day it supposedly coined.

Thinking for oneself is never easy, it is a scary prospect to many as it involves many risks
