I think you’re missing the obvious reason, because this common cold corona causes mucous in the lungs and makes it where some people can’t breathe on your own. I’m not sure your fantasy about children being rescued is true, and this post isn’t evidence and doesn’t influence my thoughts at all.

It's not exactly a fantasy, just what makes sense to me based on previous Q drops and seeing what is happening.
I'm of the opinion that this virus isn't any where near as dangerous as the media is making it out to be but it's being hyped so the world can prepare for what's coming. The only video evidence we have that this is serious is one 10 second clip of an ER in Italy. I'm not buying the fact that any more people are dying than any other normal year.

I’m not necessarily buying the fact that this is any more serious than the regular flu. Do I know why we need so many ventilators? No, probably because they need them to help people breathe. Do we need that many? Probably not, but better to have than have not. Do we need them for people sick with corona or children rescued from SRA? I don’t know but until I see any evidence I can’t make that decision. I haven’t see. Any evidence either way, and you intentionally left out that ventilators main purpose is to pump air into people’s lungs.
