I spoke to a right-wing leaning MD about this that is one of my friends.

HCQ is a safe and effective drug and WILL cure COVID-19, with one massive caveat: It increases fevers. This is a known and well understood side effect of HCQ. Covid causes a 101-103 degree fever. So if a Covid patient has a 102 degree fever and takes HCQ they could go north of 108+ and die.

Now in an inpatient setting, AKA an ICU or any treatment center, doctors have dozens of drugs they can roll out that will control that fever effortlessly. Properly managed its completely safe and effective. But without the fever management, HCQ stands a good chance of killing many covid-19 patients who take it.

Its why there has been hesitancy to prescribe it for patients to take at home by themselves. At best there needs to be developed a tablet with combined HCQ+ fever reducer drug. That doesn't presently exist however, and we don't have time to develop it.

This isn't from some website, or any DNC source. This is from the mouth of an MD directly.

You do have every reason to be upset though if they ALSO require positive testing ID. THAT is complete bullshit. Doctors should be allowed to diagnose and then administer the drugs before relying on, and waiting on, a test kit.

mostly wrong.

NOT TRUE!!! you skipped over all the relevant parts of that FDA link!

The FDA is has no power under Trump 2019 changes (off label, AND right to try) to NOT permit prescriptions, but FDA is now RECOMMENDING prescriptions, but only for hospitalized patients proven to have COVID-19!

Dr in New York treated 350 out of 350 outpatients, no complications. Now not recc'd by this evil FDA ruling.

Dr in New York days ago did another 800 and only one needed to go to hospital still. Now not recc'd by this evil FDA ruling.

pursuant to Section 564(d)(3) of the Act [Determination of a Public Health Emergency and Declaration that Circumstances Exist Justifying Authorizations Pursuant to Section 564(b) of the Federal Food, Drug, andCosmetic Act, 21 U.S.C. § 360bbb-3]

564(d)(3), and 564(c)(2)(A)

Scope of Authorization:

and are HOSPITALIZED with COVID-19

and are HOSPITALIZED with COVID-19

That is key. and reiterated in the document AGAIN with :

The emergency use of these products under an EUA must be consistent with, and may not exceed, the terms of the Authorization, including the Scope of Authorization (Section II) and the Conditions of Authorization (Section IV).

See?

Hospital Triage only! Must be patient in HOSPITAL, not prescriptions outside.

READ IT YOURSELF

read it again!

Whitey has to be admitted into hospital FIRST! To get the 8 dollar cure, Whitey needs to be charged 2,000 dollars per day for 1 to 3 days AND accrue actual lung damage waiting for s PCR test.

Yah, apologies, I noticed that so edited before you pounced, but sure.

And they said nothing about requiring test kits, only that the person needs to be hospitalized. So a doctor takes one look at a person and admits them, done hospitalized in a hour or less. Drug administered.

And doctors are not going to turning away white people at hospitals, calm down man.
