I do not pretend to be an expert.
I have read in the past:
1)bacteria/ germs can not thrive in an oxygen rich environment.
hydrogen peroxide is a chemical compound with the formula H 2O 2 giving the oxygen richness.
2)Salt works in a similar way by providing an anti germ situation. Celtic Sea Salt is desired, by some, for this purpose.
1) can be risky.
2) is the safer route.
neither are proven and both remain affordable to acquire. If there was truth in either, the price would rise...
