Are you going to parse words and make a big deal between "need" and "require"? Are you going to go off and rail against perceived differences between "want" and "desire"? Anyway I did not get any of the following from men, women, or any humanoid. I got the following from scripture.
For God to have need of anything would mean He is less than complete. Okay, so there He is, all complete with nothing to do! The fact is, He wants something. And He wants it from us, freely chosen.
He wrote a scroll about you, full of His plan for you. It was written before you were born. His eyes saw your unformed body; all the days ordained for you were written in God's book before one of them came to be. cf Psalm 139:16 And these were good plans for a good destiny; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope. cf Jer 29:11
So while God may not need you for Him to be complete, He needs people who love Him in order for His Kingdom to be complete. And in that second sense, He needs you. Otherwise, you'll make Him wait and get somebody else. There are several places in scripture where God "removed His hand" from one person and gave the job to someone else, but I think my favorite example is when Queen Esther followed through on her assignment. This example clearly shows that God's modus operandi is to use people and not just do it Himself.
So here, God was needing/requiring Esther to speak up. He did not need her for Him to be complete, and His plan would not fail if she did because he could raise up another deliverer, BUT... He did need her in the sense that somebody had to do it and if God was going to get His first choice, He needed her to step up and speak out.
I'm really sorry if men have deceived you and taken advantage of you. I don't have a whole lot of experience with that because I don't develop relationships with people or organizations where I feel manipulated; it is why I left the GOP years ago! So let me go through some of the stuff in your post:
God makes no requests Totally not my story! God makes requests regularly. At the moment, He's asked me to go pray with a person who has cancer. Last week He asked me to go to a neighbor's house to meet a need.
God cannot be offended by his children This is true. But He can be disappointed in them. I think Jesus was disappointed on several occasions, like in the stormy boat crossing Mt 8:26, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and Mk 9:19, O unbelieving generation!” Jesus replied. “How long must I remain with you? How long must I put up with you? when they did not heal the boy, and in Mk 14:37 when they could not stay awake when He wanted them to pray with him in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before the crucifixion.
You repeat the rumours of men No, not really. I am pretty careful about posting things that I cannot back up.
Srsly though, who sent me? I am not sure. I guess it cannot be God because He doesn't need anything from you? Am I right?
