A quiet Saturday morning, and after my second cup of coffee and a couple of hits of some pharmaceutical-grade bud I decided to toss something on the board for your perusal.
Anyone watch Hannity last night? In case ya missed it, old Sean was doing his "I can't reveal my source" thing that means "wink wink, this is what Trump told me to say". He had Giuliani on with him, another guy who gets the word straight from Trump, and they both repeated the same message; if further provoked, Trump is gonna hit Iran hard and fast. No boots on the ground (which would be a logistical nightmare)...just a massive aerial bombardment that will leave them bruised and battered and set their entire infrastructure, including their nuke program, back 20 years. Hannity stated this at least three times as if talking directly to the Ayatollah, staring menacingly at the camera for effect.
Sooo, it's a quiet Saturday morning, but it could get interesting before the weekend is over. Will the shit hit the fan, or is Iran gonna heed the message? Personally, I'm hoping they push it...not that I want to see any of our lads get hurt, but I think it's about time we flexed a little muscle to show the other guys on the world stage that we still have our mojo. I mean we're not exactly impressing anyone with the 20 year-long "war" in Afghanistan, and lobbing a few Tomahawks once in awhile only goes so far...we need to have a major fireworks show. Bunker-busters, B52 strikes, and smart bombs targeted to the Ayatollah's palace. Remember the one we saw go down a fucking chimney years ago? I bet the Ayatollah does.
I'm probably hoping for too much, because most of the time these things work out with a shot being fired, but this one IS getting pretty hot. What do ya think lads? Fireworks or a fizzle?

I never needed a that’a boy then, or now. Just like my dad who goes on about all the wars we need to be in, while never putting on a uniform. Do you find it odd that the majority of the people pushing these wars never served, or make up 1.7% of the population? Don’t you find it odd that these same people pushed the Iraq and Afghanistan wars? How’d those WMDs work out? Weird that we are protecting poppy fields, at the same time a nearly defunct drug (heroin) has made a historic comeback. Yes, keep spouting this war hawk stance, keep taking in (((their))) baby gravy, and tell me how me calling you a boomer faggot magically negates what I have seen and done, because it hurts your feefees.

You have a valid point about the poppy fields in Afghanistan and the resurgence of heroin. My son was there for a year, he drove a tracked recovery vehicle, and they had strict orders to stay out of the poppy fields. In the 20 years we've been in that shit-hole, poppy production has increased each year while deaths from heroin overdose here in the US increased correspondingly. I live in a rural area, and I've seen a dozen people die from heroin in this same period of time.
Afghanistan is an example of a fucked up war, agreed, but some situations still justify military action. You can't let Iran just spit in out face and get away with it.

I wore the uniform long before you were born.
If you won't respect your elders, you should at least respect your betters.
