OP, you don't even know what the "internet" is. You probably think it's the World Wide Web. That's only part of it, and it's not an early part. I was on the internet before browsers. We used gopher menus, FTP, finger, telnet, ping, etc. It was all monochrome text and no pictures. There was no advertising allowed when the World Wide Web started. There were no commercial sites, just educational organizations, government organizations, and private individuals who just wanted information to be free and available. Telnet was the most impressive to me back then, as it allowed you to actually log in to a mainframe halfway around the world, look at the directories on the drives, and run software.

My generation created the internet and all of its many parts.

You should care what we've lived through, because it means we have a better chance of surviving bad times than you do.

You need to learn a lot more.

And yes, arthritis hurts like hell, but it hasn't stopped me yet.
