Indeed. Once certain companies get so big, once they become ubiquitous, an accepted communication platform used by the masses, then they can become regulated as a public utility. It happened to TV, telephone and radio. Twitter, Facebook and Twitter have surpassed being just publicly owned companies. They are mass communication standards and the public has certain expectations about how they will be run. Expect government regulation to reign them in and regulate them as a equal access public utility.
