Does one have to say it was needed? And that's not the sole reason.

Oh I'm sure that's not the only reason. In fact, I don't think it's a reason at all. j/s

My first thought was that you're obviously a shill, but considering that I might actually be wrong, I'm going to take time to explain my reasoning behind it, just my 5 cents. I remember back in the days when we were on irc, mainly 711chan and it was basically very practical for coordinating insurgencies. We used to have actual raids and trying to breach different parts on the internet. While that might not be possible in the same way today, courtesy of big tech, it might still be possible to a certain degree. I could think of a couple of practical ideas, but never mind. Remember Partyvan? There were entire wikies dedicated to teching newfags how to help the cause and what to do, even those that weren't tech-savvy. Besides practical purposes it also created a sense of community since there were casual chat rooms for like-minded people to hang out. This is not great on 8ch because you dont wanna slice the bread too much ya'know. Anyway I guess I just miss the good ol' irc days and thought it'd be not only fun but also useful if we'd do something similar because we do have the numbers and the know-how.
