Right now on reddit (r the donald) there is a big divide with easily 40% of the posters sad and confused as to why Mattis resigned, some even hinting they think it's all over. The mods are censoring many comments with 1,000 upvotes to contain the opinions. Some are saying Trump lied blatantly by saying Mattis is retiring (he's probably retiring after resigning we don't know the details yet), others are saying Trump did the right thing... there is a huge variety of responses. Point I want to make is there was a cult of personality about General Mattis as if he was a god of war and infallible. A warrior monk who knows everything. He is obviously a smart and great man, so is Trump though. But we voted for Trump and not Mattis.
I trust Trump to do what's best for America. I know his awareness is higher than the majority of the best, and his gut is pure. Seems if Mattis wanted to tell Trump he disrespected him he would have not said in his resignation letter that he deserved a commander in line with his vision. Do you see how professional that is for Mattis to say that? How he places the mission above all? How it has to have congruency? Can't have a successful flight with a co-pilot who wants to go in another direction. Someone who disrespected our POTUS wouldn't qualify his reasons for resignation this way in my opinion.
Don't let all the noise make you think anything has become bad. In fortune 500 companies c suite executives are hired all the time to achieve specific goals and when they achieve it or can't achieve it, they move on. His cabinet is no different. Trump is solid and we need to be solid with him so he can tackle cultural marxism at home and globalism abroad. If you see someone being confused about all this, educate them that we are bringing the troops home just as promised. Don't let enemies try to exploit this to make people lose steam... it's unfair to those who would lose steam, because the train can't be stopped so they might as well be excited along with us.

I hope Mattis didn't resign for health reasons.
I do hope Mattis resigned so he can play a part in the military tribunals.

I'm not down. It has been two years, and my President has done some odd things that made me question him, but every time he ended up winning. I now have full confidence in POTUS, and I think is now a pretty rare thing that things are actually as they seem.
I don't get the feeling that this is a setback for the Administration. It feels more like something that was planned.
The MSM is delighted by Mattis' letter. They are idiots. They fall for this stuff every single time.

They do. Trumps awareness is like a 3rd dimensional ball rolling on a 2d world. The 2d world just sees a circle.

This is why I don't fully trust the Q group. I trust Trump, but boomers like Mattis and "Q" might still be sucking israeli cock.

You guys all worshipped Mattis. Now he has resigned and unleashed a pretty devestating critique of Trump's actions and policies in his resignation letter, it's a race to spin this pretty huge Trump failure into a success. That's why Q is suggesting it's all part of the plan.

Who are 'you guys'? Who is spinning anything? Mattis is a warrior; Donald Trump is our elected leader. Get the difference? POTUS ran on disengaging from regional conflicts that are nothing but a drain for tax dollars, human lives and obscene profits for the 'war industry'. An Army is not established for 'nation building'; it's for nation destroying - killing people and breaking things. Our foreign policy has been so fucked up for the last 100 years that we've become the world policeman at the expense of our young men and women who die or return fucked up for life and at the cost of trillions and trillions of dollars that we're borrowing from our enemies. So you think POTUS is wrong for acting to extricate us from this situation?

You either trust Trump and Q or you're emo.
