This would be really sweet...IF the premise were sound. It is not.
Whoever started this painfully persistent proposal neglected to study the actual linguistic roots of the '-ment' suffix that result in the word 'government'.
I'm all for breaking the chains of 'mind control'. I suggest, though, that inaccuracy in language won't fortify freedom.
If gubernare + ment (mentes?) equals 'control of the mind', then what do the following words have to do with 'the mind'?
abandonment, abatement, abutment, adjustment, alignment, alimentary, allotment, apartment, comment, compartment, complement, concealment, condiment, department, development, enlargement, indictment, measurement, merriment, ointment, parchment, pigment, placement, raiment, recruitment, settlement, tenement, torment, tournament, treatment.
'Government' means 'mind control' as much a 'pigment' means 'pig brains'.
