It's may not be as easy as you think, my friend. Yes, there is technically an outlet for the Chairman to be fired. But in the Humphrey's Executor v. United States, the Supreme Court limited the President's absolute ability to remove appointed officials, which it determined was functioning as an agent of the legislature and the judiciary.
