We're on a whole new level of brainwashing with today's media.

I appreciate the summary though. I wish more people posting videos here would take the time to describe the content.

Edit: I agree with your statement. Mass media, including social media has made brainwashing really easy.

The test groups were small, true, but the principle is still valid and the power of one voice is still strong, which is why censorship of anything going against the narrative is important. Indeed, I think this research sets up the foundation for why social media is dangerous. At a moment's notice you can pull up your very own conformation group on your smart phone and satisfy yourself of not only the narrative you're supposed to go along with (against obvious facts), but the size of the group.

Fat fashion "models" - 12k likes can't be wrong. Go her.
Trump is a racist - My alt-right friend will be crushed to know this was shared and liked on FB 2.5 million times.
Sarah Silverman says that she'd kill Jesus if she had the chance on Twitter and it got half a million likes. Haha, well I guess I won't stick up for Christianity and make waves.

It's the very foundation of shill tactics. Consensus cracking is two parts: Agree with part of the narrative and build a parallel part while attacking the part of the narrative you want to kill. Single shills can bring increasing doubt to the fringes of a movement who don't yet have enough facts to bring internal consistency to their world view.
