I believe this tragedy has less to do with skin color and more to do with better parenting. Did the murderer have a father at home or in his life? What kind of a person was his parent(s)? Did that girl trust her parents enough to tell them when she got pregnant? I can't imagine the parents advising their daughter to conceal the pregnancy from the baby's father for so long even though he is a minor, and also concealing this newly created life from the boy's parent(s). Abstinence saves lives and actions are the real choice. Responsibility for the consequences of all choices is the most basic and essential life value every person must learn. But progressive educators don't stress responsibility, they act like no one can control their urges so just be "safe" or better yet, be gay and if you don't, well just kill the little inconvenience. It seems like we need to drain the educational swamp as much as the governmental swamp. Parents should be teaching their children to be responsible, considerate, disciplined and caring human beings with the schools backing up these teachings and especially helping any student whose family circumstances are lacking. What a sad story exemplifying the sorry state we have ended up with.
