I get that, but the US market is basically rebuilding/sustaining China today. If they lose our market, a major source of income dries up, making them less able to expand.. no? Without our dollars, would they be able to persue their agenda south of our border with all they've already put in motion in their homeland? Add in having to take care of the "caravan" migrants because the world is now focused on them could they sustain being so spread out? Anyway, I get your point, making inroads into strategic ports south of the border may be more vital to deter in the short term.

I whole heartedly agree the southern border needs reinforcement as well.
