From S. Res. 610 linked by Q:
"Resolved, That it is the sense of the Senate that—
(1) documents related to the events of September 11, 2001, should be declassified to the greatest extent possible; and
(2) the survivors, the families of the victims, and the people of the United States deserve answers about the events and circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks upon the United States."
The resolution states "declass to the extent possible" to which Q posts the statement "Sponsor? Not What You Think" Likely they wuld allow some details to be declassified but not most of the incriminating evidence on classified record. Smoke and mirrors resolution from Dem Sen Blumenthal.

It's probably going to implicate Bush. Wasn't Kavanaugh's wife his assistant at the time? Just more smear tactics is my guess.

It may be an attempt by the Dem's to drag as many Republican's down with the ship as possible. If they are in the process of ratting each other out, on the right and the left, then 911 provides a lot of fodder for them to incriminate each other with.

From wikipedia: "After Bush became president in January 2001, Kavanaugh was hired as an associate by the White House Counsel, Alberto Gonzales.[33] There, Kavanaugh worked on the Enron scandal, the successful nomination of Chief Justice John Roberts, and the unsuccessful nomination of Miguel Estrada.[33] Starting in July 2003, he served as Assistant to the President and White House Staff Secretary,[36] succeeding Harriet Miers.[54] In that position he was responsible for coordinating all documents going to and from the president."
I suppose the Ds are trying to implicate Kav in something there.

Would implicate Bush Sr more than Jr.

Distraction indeed. Dims are grasping at straws
