I already told you, pick constant oversight or vigilante justice and stick with it. If you go back and forth you get this. Have you had children? If you alternate between strict parenting and lax parenting, you'll end up with a shitshow for a child. You want me to back off, fine, then go investigate the mass downvoting of v/aww over the past few months, the gore and child porn, be an overlord. Not want to bother? Fine, then I'll keep taking things in my own hands. Pick one option and stick with it and I will abide by it.

It's a two way street. You only get your dopamine rush if you have us users here. You may be providing a free service, but us content providers aren't paid either.

Is this a threat? Sounds like one.

So here is a threat in return: don't commit the same crimes or you, your alts, and your real accounts get the banhammer (used that word just to trigger you).

Let all the kids know.

I'm not defending the vote manipulators here, but at the same time they aren't wrong. When there's a lack of oversight and obvious vote manipulation is allowed constantly run rampant, what do you think is going to happen? Issues with v/aww point to a larger problem. I want an uncensored platform, but I also want it to see organic content rising to the top. Many of us left Reddit for Voat for this as being one of the reasons. We knew the content on the front page didn't get there organically and even had algorithms specifically designed to facilitate that system. It's a two pronged approach - only one voice is ever allowed to be heard over there and it's done by the people running the website.

In the past, you went after at least one notable individual for harming the integrity of the platform. I guess my question is, where do you draw the line here? How does this differ?

At least here on Voat, I hope we can be a system where if it is an echo chamber, it's because the community wants it to be that way and we curate the content ourselves through the voting mechanisms. I don't think saying, "hey you're awol all the time" is so far out there that it's a threat. It's reality. I'm sure you have plenty of real world experience to know that people will not act with integrity just because the adult isn't in the room. There's definitely a balance to be had here.

I suggest making the act of vote manipulation a site wide rule. Caught doing it, and you get the SGIS treatment and make sure no one gets special treatment. I also have a pretty good idea who PuppoKitteh is (I'm sure it's going to surprise a lot of people, not surprise others, and give other entities ammo), but I'm not going to give any fucks here if they can't use Voat anymore.
