The authors categorized male participants who said others describe them as “very feminine” or “mostly feminine,” and female respondents who said others describe them as “very masculine” or “mostly masculine” as “highly gender nonconforming,” while those youth who responded “equally feminine and masculine” were categorized as “androgynous.”

Those young people categorized as “highly gender nonconforming” numbered 59, while 331 were placed in the “androgynous” category. Of the youth participants in the study, 1,204 were in the “gender conforming” category, i.e., those who are comfortable with their biological sex.

The "androgynous" youths are probably just physically weak boys and girls with low self esteem. But saying 3% of youths are gender nonconforming isn't very sexy and doesn't get your shitty 'study' any free press.

California also treats androgynous looking people as trans, asking pronouns and going hard on "correcting" themselves when they mess up.

Weak boys aren't going away anytime soon, unless we seperate the sexes at school, feed boys more, and grade them on their weightlifting and athletic performance. I took a lot of gym in school and all I did was talk to girls. I could run the mile backwards as fast as the girls could forwards. Nobody taught me how to lift weights and balance my diet. I'm still learning that now.
