Ping @empress

Note the sub name, as well. I finally went and did it. It will include content like this, as well as content for people interested in entering college, furthering their education, learning about academia, learning the process of research, learning how to learn, how to study, how to do self-directed learning, and things of that nature.

Basically, the title says it all - the foundations of education.

I'm just going to blow off the v/academia sub, for the most part. This is a more appropriate sub (I think) for me to contribute educational materials, some of which will be geared towards children, valuable to homeschooling moms, and teens who may be entering academia.

I also hope for it to be a place where parents can ask advice on things like how to find a good university, how to find funding, how to apply for scholarships, and things of that nature. All the way through to PhD candidacy and post-doc.

So, you told me to let you know when I'd done so. I figure this is a good enough time, though I haven't actually done an announcement yet.
