I don't agree, and I strongly suspect that most that genuinely believe she should didn't pay much attention in 2008's election cycle.

She nearly beat Obama then. But when times got tough, she rolled over AND put the full weight of the Clinton Machine behind Obama instead of trying to split the party like Bernie has. She never let a "first woman president or bust" idea permeate amongst her supporters, because she was loyal to the party itself. She yielded with dignity and set herself up for 2016.

She talked Tim Kaine into stepping down from the DNC and to nominate Debbie Wasserman Schultz as his replacement in exchange for a vice presidential spot. Once someone in her control was at the helm, Debbie's job was to keep appointing people loyal to Hillary.

Underhanded? Absolutely. But that got the job done. Bernie at the helm with no support from democrats OR republicans means that he doesn't deliver on his campaign promises, and he'll be viewed as an utter failure and disappointment when he's elected out in 4 years, if he was even able to get the presidency at all.

Hillary IS the democratic party. She is the embodiment of it personified. She earned it with blood, not votes, but she earned it with her behind the scenes scheming.

And with her as the nominee, it absolutely ensures a Trump presidency, in which case America wins.
